Massimo Mila hut

The low Orco Valley, dark and gloomy, almost turns into the door of heaven, when, after the long tunnel from Noasca, you will come out to Ceresole Reale. In this vast and wonderful Valley, stands the Massimo Mila Hut. Placed at 1583 m altitude, enjoys a prime location on the shores of the lake of Ceresole, at the foot of enchanting peaks, in the Gran Paradiso National Park. Equipped of 6 bedrooms with 25 beds, it gives comfort to mountain lovers thanks to the very nice restaurant living room and a wide bar area with a library and relax area. The icing on the cake is cooking, combining quality, tradition and creativity, as well as the quality of the local products, such as alpine pasture cheeses, stone ground flour and wine made from native grapes. The atmosphere is made even more pleasant by the young management of Andrea, Stephen and Marlene that make the stay more lively and can recommend excursions for every kind of activities viable in the Park, from walking with the snow-shoes to more complicated uphills with touring skis, or to places for sighting rare species of protected animals.

In the hut it's possible to find every kind of book guides, from climbing to trekking, in this way Massimo Mila hut becomes a necessary stop for sport lovers, included water sports, such as windsurf e canoing.

The structure hosts, indeed, the Gran Paradiso Società Nautica that organizes canoing courses. The Massimo Mila hut is open the whole year and is always easy to reach by car, so that it can offer a pleasant stay also to families with children. Not to be missed any kind of courses proposed by the hut, available on the website, not to mention the wide cultural proposal permitted by the presence of "PALAMILA", a wooden shell built next to the hut, that hosts concerts, plays, exhibitions and any other kind of events.

Restaurant: Rich and varied menu with mountain and Piedmont specialities, desserts are all homemade, as well as fresh pasta, such as gnocchi of polenta, bagna caoda noodles and meet agnolotti. Products, such as wine, honey, cheeses, salami and meat, are locally.
