Forzo - Boschietto - Boschettiera

Summer path

Departure can be both from the small village of Forzo and the really near Molino di Forzo, going up to Tressi and from here following the path to the medium-size Forzo Valley. Starting from Tressi, after crossing a rocky outcrop where you can see a beautiful shrine placed in the rock, it continues in the Valley arriving at the bottom of a balcony, on which stands the village of Boschietto and its characteristic church recently restored. It's likely to sight hibex and camois. Passed Boschietto, you reach the village of Boschettiera; Although Boschietto is most popular, Boschettiera is also worth a visit. Less sun-exposed and more hidden, alternates ruined houses to faithful reconstruction. There you can find the ranger hut, a beautiful wood-burning oven, that dates back in the 1878 and recently restored, a fresco and two votive chapels. If desired, you can proceed with a route of medium difficulty until Davito bivouac and Grange Pian Lavina.

The route is very pleasant also in winter with snowshoes, with the terrain covered with snow.

N.B: the bivouac Davito (2,282 m above sea level, at the foot of the Tower Lavina, 4/6 places well maintained and always open), involves an additional journey time uphill of about almost 2 hours; less than 1 hour for the Grange Pian Lavina (waymark for both: 608).

Path is accessible for dogs from Molino di Forzo and Tressi to Boschietto and Boschettiera from the 15th July to the 31st of August.
