Itinerary
Near Borgata Villa the path crosses the Orco torrent and begins to rise through the wood; here the prevailing tree is the larch, although you will also see some spruce and Swiss stone pine. Among the trees there is the opportunity to observe some chamois. The route is not particularly difficult; in the last part you cross a large area of rocky terrain where Swiss stone pines and tall bushes are dominant and where you can have interesting encounters with some of the best examples of the local birds (jackdaws, ravens, ptarmigan etc.).
At the end of the trip, near the Jervis mountain refuge, panoramas of the nearby Levanne al Basei make a strong impression, thanks to the particular shapes showing evidence of ancient glaciers.
