Bee-keeping is the main activity of our company since its birth, but already within the family honey was produced for its own need.

As for almost all the Valle d'Aosta bee-keepers we practice nomadism transferring the hives in different environments, from those at the bottom of the valley to typically mountain environments so that bees are able to set the areals / periods of optimal gathering in order to obtain single-flower honey or quality “millefiori”. Our production is limited, based on handicrafts methods, quality and authenticity prevails, there are not heat treatments, we prefer direct contact and sale to the final consumer. During the years we have chosen ideal areas for our productions, obtaining optimal honey from the chemical-physical and organoleptic point of view, as proved by different reimbursements obtained both at regional and national level in popular competitions of the sector, one for all the national competition “Grandi Mieli d'Italia”. The bee-keeper tasks are various and not standardised or possible to be standardised as strongly influenced by various variables, first of all the environmental ones. It consists in a sometimes difficult activity, with many unknown points, but definitely gripping for the complex hierarchy and not totally known rules that manage life of these exceptional insects, without forgetting that bees are not domestic animals and they will always decide what to do in whatever condition they're put.

Although our bee-keeping activity doesn't hold the “bio” certificate, managing the apiary is still an activity conducted in respect of consolidated natural rules and of bees biology, moreover all those compulsory health treatments are conducted using methods and products allowed in the bio bee-keeping.
